As linguagens de movimento são hoje paisagens complexas, contraditórias, paradoxais, carregadas de referências, experiências biográficas, tecnologicamente (re)actualizadas e (re)contextualizadas. A criação artística tem sido mapeada com a ajuda de discursos individuais interconectados, onde estas linguagens surgem espontaneamente, metamorfoseando-se por entre imagens irónicas, críticas, sensíveis, pop. Melancolia faz parte deste universo de vozes individuais. Um corpo ritualizado apresenta-se num misto de fragilidade e potência, numa relação de interdependência com a música, o espaço público, os passantes, enquanto centros geradores de novas sensações.
MELANCOLIA é um solo-reflexão sobre o que é estar só, viver hoje, habitar lugares, mergulhar em estados. Surge de um percurso iniciado em 2016 com Rei Criança onde me concentrei na construção de uma paisagem frenética, uma bomba iminente, no limite do sufocamento. Neste solo estabeleceu-se um ricochetear entre um ser que controla e em seguida permite deixar-se manipular até comandar de novo. Foi uma pré-deriva, uma antecipação ao graffiti como preâmbulo.
O panorama deste primeiro solo levou-me ao imaginário do seguinte, A Deriva dos Olhos em 2017, que surge como um pós-êxtase: a lentidão, a impotência, o cansaço, o caminho percorrido até uma possível metamorfose que permita a sobrevivência, reformulando o virtual das imagens, repetindo-as infinitamente, ou construindo GIFs a partir delas, transformando-os em matéria estética e coreográfica.
Por sua vez, o universo deste segundo solo estimulou o aparecimento de melancolia. Caracterizo estes solos como uma viagem, momento a momento, em busca de linguagem, identidade, rumo.
MELANCOLIA é a terceira parte do tríptico da lamentação, um projeto que nasce do desejo de chegada a um lugar, um refúgio. O limite como regeneração, a paragem e o que esta impulsiona para a vontade de uma nova partida. Caminhando, numa fremência que mergulha, melancolia como motor, como alegria, para dentro e para dentro, cada vez mais para dentro, na ferida, na vida a andar à roda, no volúvel. Um último ritual, fragilizado, entorpecido, é desenvolvido enquanto estratégia de sobrevivência. Multiplicidade de referências, camadas de memórias associadas, num manifesto de desolação, amor.
Movement languages today are complex, contradictory, paradoxical landscapes, full of references, biographical experiences, technologically (re)updated and (re)contextualized. Artistic creation has been mapped with the help of interconnected individual discourses, where these languages emerge spontaneously, metamorphosing through ironic, critical, sensitive, pop images. Melancholy is part of this universe of individual voices. A ritualized body presents itself in a mix of fragility and power, in a relationship of interdependence with music, public space, passersby, as centers that generate new sensations.
MELANCHOLY is a solo-reflection on what it is like to be alone, to live today, to inhabit places, to immerse in states. It arises from a journey that began in 2016 with KID AS KING where I focused on the construction of a frenetic landscape, an imminent bomb, on the edge of suffocation. In this solo a ricochet was established between a being that controls and then allows itself to be manipulated until it commands again. It was a pre-drift, an anticipation of graffiti as a preamble.
The panorama of this first solo took me to the imagination of the next one, The Drift of the Eyes in 2017, which appears as a post-ecstasy: the slowness, the impotence, the tiredness, the path taken until a possible metamorphosis that allows survival, reformulating the virtual of images, repeating them infinitely, or building GIFs from them, transforming them into aesthetic and choreographic matter.
Therefore, the universe of this second solo encouraged the appearance of melancholy. I characterize these solos as a journey, moment by moment, in search of language, identity, direction.
MELANCHOLY is the third part of the lamentation triptych, a project that arises from the desire to arrive at a place, a refuge. Limit as regeneration, the stop and what it drives to the will of a new departure. Walking, an enthusiasm that plunges, melancholy as an engine, as joy, inward and inward, increasingly inward, into the wound, in life spinning, in the volatile.. A last ritual, weakened, numb, is developed as a survival strategy. Multiplicity of references, layers of associated memories, in a manifesto of desolation, love.
